With so many trends coming and going, it’s nice to say that 2019 looks like it’s going to be filled with brides asking for natural classic beauty. Choosing to keep the drama at bay and instead focus on their eyes or their lips to keep their looks classic and timeless.

This look is one of my favorites to do and is one of my specialties. The “my skin is just this healthy” look with a glow that will shine through all your photos. It seems that the days of severe contour and deep dramatic eyes is going to take a back seat for a bit while brides focus on skincare and soft, subtle beauty.

So as you hunt for your makeup artist, make sure you ask if they’re comfortable providing such a look, if they’ve done it before and if they have examples. Get your trial scheduled with more than one artist so you can compare and contrast. Ask for airbrush makeup whenever possible so that your natural look feels natural too! Bring photos with you to give the artist an idea of what you’re looking for all while understanding that you won’t look EXACTLY like the image you’re showing. Remember everyone edits their photos these days so you have to be prepared for a more realistic outcome.

That being said, for those brides who still love the dramatic look, KUDOS to you! It’s always important to do what feels good to you. The natural classic look might not be one that makes you feel like your best self and that’s fine! You want to feel beautiful on your wedding day and that means looking how you want to look.

I for one will be ready with my airbrush machines to beautify the lovely ladies I have the honor of making up!

Thank you Princess Meghan Markel and Daniel Martin for showing the world that beauty, really does come from within.
