How to Air fry Your Way into Spring
I finally did it! I got an air fryer and I wanna scream it from the rooftops! I’ve been coveting these little convenience machines for years now and never seemed to pull the trigger, till now. The beauty I purchased is the PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Pro. I had to get a 10-quart family size because, with my family of five, a measly 4-5 quart jammy isn’t gonna cut it. It’s a deep fryer, toaster, oven, rotisserie, dehydrator, and pizza oven in one. It comes with 3 air flow racks, a drip tray, and a rotisserie kit with spit, forks, & a fetch tool. And what’s more, there’s a bonus gift via a mail-in rebate of a mesh basket and skewers!
After reading the instructions, cleaning it, and earmarking the cooking time page, I decided the first thing to try was going to be chicken drumsticks! I seasoned them as I normally would and plopped them on the airflow racks, set the temperature and timer, and waited. Normally I would put drumsticks in the regular oven for an hour at 400 degrees turning halfway through. In the air fryer? 25 minutes at 370 turning halfway through! Hi, timesaver!! If you’re interested in my recipe leave me a comment and let me know and I’ll be sure to post the ingredients I use to season my chicken. Be warned, it’s not salt and pepper.
When the timer went off, I was so thrilled to find the chicken so crispy and juicy! This was such good eating ๐ Stay tuned for more air fry cooking!
