Amazon Haul – 5 Things You Never Knew You Always Wanted
Spending so much time at home has got me organizing and decorating like CRAZY! Thing is, I don’t like to spend a lot of money when I KNOW I can get a deal. Enter Amazon…
My upstairs bathroom isn’t super big but one thing that always bugged me was the empty space above the toilet. Most people have a cabinet above it but I didn’t want to close anything in and make the room look even smaller. I started looking into making shelves (I love DIY too) and though it seemed pretty simple, I wanted to see what Amazon had and found these!!
They come in 5 different colors and are super light so they’re easy to hold and hang at the same time. Though the brackets are made of metal, the coating on them will keep them from rusting (if your bathroom is ventless like ours). Each shelf can be used either top or bottom of the shelf, so you can choose your pattern. I decked mine out for fall ๐ Click the image to be taken to them on Amazon.
Next up are these adorable lotus flower Q-tip/ Toothpick holders. No, they’re not a necessity but as far as functional decor, these gems have exactly what I wanted/needed. I got the black and white combo (it’s a set of 2) though they do have 4 options you can choose from. I used one in my upstairs bathroom with Q-tips, on the brand new shelves I told you about ๐
The other is in my kitchen with toothpicks and it blends into my fall decor on my wall shelves in there. (I’m noticing I really like shelves..hmm). Anywho, if this looks like something that strikes your fancy, click the image and you’ll be taken right to it!
This thing!! Lawd, you have NO idea how much you need this. This Shiatsu Neck and Back Massager will make the tension in your neck and back will melt away! It uses deep tissue massage so it might hurt at first if you’re not used to it. I found that if I don’t completely rest my arms in the holders, it eases up on the intensity and feels great. It gently heats to help with relaxing your muscles and has 3 massage levels. It will stay on for 15 minutes and will auto shut off if you haven’t shut it off by then. I can’t afford to go to get a massage on a regular basis so having this handy helps to relieve tension.
In the same vein as DIY, I have also become a bit of a freak about organizing. I took to my closet to make it look good enough to make it a part of my house tour. You know, for when people can actually visit my house again. Our master bedroom has a his/hers closet which is a great feature since one won’t overpower the other with their clothes. We each stay on our respective sides regardless of the space available or not available in our closets. I found however, that the space under my clothes was such a waste. I had more clothes to hang and I didn’t really want to put plastic storage containers under the hanging clothes because, truth be told, I would probably never open them to see my other clothing options. So, I got one of THESE BAD BOYS!!
This is so friggin handy I can’t stand it! First, the assembly is easy as can be. The bottom bar hooks into the sidebars and you’re done. The sidebars have these nifty little hooks to hang accessories. I have belts, scarves, and hats hanging from them. The tops of the organizer hook onto your existing closet clothes bar. The bottom is where you hang additional clothes. I want to mention, that depending on the height of your regular closet clothes bar, your second level may leave some clothes touching the floor. I hung my dresses and long sweaters on the regular clothes bar on the outside of the organizer. I hung everything else I had to hang upright on the bar. It holds about 30 pounds so you can rest easy that it’s going to hold your clothes. This almost doubled the size of my closet especially using the thin no-slip hangers that take up less space. And since I rotate clothes (pack away Summer clothes, bring out Fall and Winter clothes) it works like a charm ๐ Click the image to get one of your very own. You’re welcome.
Lastly, we come to these Stick-on LED motion sensor lights. Though I don’t use the stick-on part, so I can’t attest to the stickability (new word alert!) I can tell you that they light up bright! I use them on my basement stairs. I’ve lined them up every 2 steps so that anyone going up or down at night can see clearly even if they forget to click the regular light switch. Each one takes 3 AAA batteries but they do last a really long time. Since they’re motion sensors and light sensors, they only turn on if it’s dark and it senses movement. You can literally put them anywhere! If you need light in your hallway for sleepy walks to the bathroom, or if you need one in your bathroom so you don’t have to flick on the light and blind yourself in the middle of the night. You can use them in a closet to light up so you can find your clothes, coat, or shoes without a problem. You can even use one in your child’s room, so you can check on them without waking them up. If you do this though, don’t put the light eye level as they’re in bed. Place them along the baseboard because I’m telling you these things are bright.
Do you have Amazon goodies you can’t believe you’ve lived this long without? Let me know in the comments! Lawd knows we’re all shopping online these days so SPILL!
