Foundation Look Grey? Here’s why.
It’s too light for your skin. Yep, it’s that simple. No, I’m not stopping there, lol, I’m going to tell you how to fix it of course.
It’s time to channel your inner Mix-a-lot and add deeper color to your foundation. Makeup Forever (a fa-fa-favorite of mine) makes a great little palette that is great for mixing. It doesn’t HAVE to be this palette that you use, but a deeper shade of foundation or concealer will do the trick. Add in tiny amounts, mixing on the back of your hand or on your mixing palette until you’ve reached the right shade. Your foundation should blend perfectly into your jawline. You shouldn’t be able to see it once blended. If you can, it’s the wrong shade. What you’re looking for is perfecting your canvas, not creating a new skin layer altogether. Note: You should not HAVE to apply foundation to your neck to match ur face. If you do, start over, you got the wrong color.
Remember to apply your foundation sparingly to avoid “cake face”. Instagram’s makeup only looks good on Instagram. For real-life makeup, go light and add where you need it. Personally, if I’m not using an airbrush gun, I prefer a foundation brush over a sponge. With the right brush, you can buff and blend without leaving streaks and leaving a more natural finish. Be sure to use your concealer only if necessary, after applying your foundation. Usually, if you’ve used the correct shade of foundation, very little correcting is needed once it’s properly blended.
There you go! Now fix ur face and for the love of God, BLEND ๐
