Tattoo Cover with Temptu – Show and Tell :)
So here’s a bit of something I did on Sunday with my oldest son. See, I only practice my craft Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I absolutely LOVE what I do and so practicing and experimenting whenever I get the chance is just plain fun!
Though I’ve been doing airbrush makeup for years, I am always looking to learn more. There are always newer techniques, formulas and tips and tricks to put into play. After getting my education on recently, I’ve been at it non-stop to perfect new techniques and learn how to best use new formulas.
This is my oldest son’s arm. He has one tattoo on each arm and one on his back. We started with one on his arm since he had plans for the night and couldn’t stay for too long. I covered it using just the Temptu Dura Airbrush Foundation with my airbrush gun. There was no color correcting done prior, just pure pigment applied directly to the tattoo. This formula is alcohol based so it’s not coming off with soap and water. It’s pretty much there till he takes it off with alcohol himself. He actually ran and took a shower moments after I finished because he was running late. Before he left, I asked if I could see that tat and sure enough, still covered completely. Not too bad if you ask me. My instructor/mentor agreed that it looked good especially for it being so new to me. I’ve covered tattoos before with cream formulations and very small ones with airbrush, but the WAY that I covered this tattoo was what saved me not only product but time as well.
So I wanted to share. I know that my blog has generally NOT been about me except for bits here and there and generally that’s how it will be. But I love to share pieces of me with all of you too and I hope you find value in it ๐
