Another day goes by and another couple gets married. The lucky part for me is the fact that I was able to be a part of it. No, I wasn’t the maid of honor or even a bridesmaid. I didn’t plan it and I didn’t give the bride away. I was however chosen by the bride, approved by the mother of the bride as well as bridesmaids, and made to feel as though I belonged in that group of lovely people. Who was I? The makeup artist.

Bringing beauty to her door was an honor. Helping to bring out her inner joy to present to the world was a dream. Her expression when she saw herself was moving and the experience is one that will stay with me forever. This is how much I love brides and their wedding day.
