As a creative mind, I’m always looking for a way to grow and learn new things. Much of what I do is self-taught and others are things I looked to people already where I want to be to learn from. My most recent venture will be YouTube. Now I know what many of you might be thinking “Oh another beauty vlogger” but I have to say that I’m honestly doing it as proof to myself that I can in fact do it. I’m not in my 20’s like most of the beauty bloggers out there but I am just as, if not more, passionate about makeup/beauty, etc because I HAVE been doing it for 20+ years.

When I look at other beauty vloggers I like to watch, I see the perfect skin, the wrinkle-free canvas they apply just about anything and make look good. I notice the non-wrinkly eye that their eyeshadow and liner just glide across and the non-oily, non-acne skin that seems to just glow from within. Enter ME. Let me just give you a little heads up of what you may see.

You may see the lines. Yep, I got ’em. fine lines under my eyes and when I smile (because smiling’s my favorite, lol). You’ll also catch a glimpse of them around my mouth. My laugh lines (see comment above). You will also see acne scars cuz, well I had adult acne for a few years and like many of you, I didn’t know how to NOT pick. I watched YouTube videos for tips on how to “professionally” get rid of them and wrecked my face. BE WARNED! You might also see a couple of grey hairs. Yep, cuz I have my eSalon box shipped every 3 weeks but sometimes, they peek through showing my “special highlights” and my “experience” whether I like it or not. You might also see some not so smooth eyelids, cuz well like I said, I’m not in my 20’s and that happens, lol.

I can also promise you that you will see real, achievable looks that don’t necessarily require you to use the professional-grade products I have. Keep in mind I’m a professional working makeup artist of 20+ years and I have A LOT of stock. The quality I choose is for my clients but because I get a discount at most places I order from; I can go ahead and buy doubles for my own stash. If you will do me the honor of watching, when I get up enough nerve to post cuz I still have ZERO ideas on how to edit photos let alone videos, I will show you how you can achieve looks with whatever you currently own.

The above image is the first set up of my “studio” here in my home. I have made some changes since this photo was taken but it’s still a work in progress. I’m grateful to even have this amount of space in my basement to be able to explore my creative and scared-y cat side since my home is full of toddler toys everywhere you turn.

I hope to appeal to all age groups but understand that KJ, BB, and JW (among others) currently have the attention of the tween and 20’s groups. I hope that the ladies in my age range can relate and comment and tell me what you’d like to see me try! I can’t try just anything (my skin breaks out from random makeup brands) but I’d love to have that personal connection with women who want to know how to do something specific! Help me help you! I absolutely love to teach people how to do makeup when I’m one on one and this is the next logical step for me.
