Recipe for smoothness
With summer in full bloom the one thing we are all chasing our tail trying to catch up with how fast our legs sprout new follicles. With this recipe, your shave will last longer and feel like glass.
First, you start with a warm shower (duh) using your favorite moisturizing soap. I prefer Dove since it has 1/4 moisturizing cream. Then you follow with an exfoliating scrub like Clinique Sparkle Skin. You’re really going to want to work this scrub into your skin getting down into your ankle area and toes. Let’s be real, some of us have to shave in those spots so let’s just be ready for it shall we?
Make sure you rinse all of this off and then follow with moisturizing shaving cream. One you won’t regret trying is EOS moisturizing shave cream. It is probably the most moisturizing shave cream I’ve tried to date. I legit feel like I put lotion on my skin after using it. As far as your razor blade, remember, the more blades the better the shave (I use the 5 blade Venus Embrace for sensitive skin). Proceed with shaving. I know everyone says to go with the hair growth but if I’m being honest, I go against the hair growth. I just find that I get a closer shave that way I’m not saying it’s the right way. You are exposing yourself to a higher chance of ingrown hairs so be warned.
After shaving and rinsing off pat yourself dry and follow almost immediately with body butter. I get that in the summer you might feel that this is too heavy to wear but if you just use it on your legs and then use regular lotion on the rest of your body, you’ll see and feel the difference.
This my friends is the recipe for legs that are as smooth as glass. Your shave will last longer, and your legs will regain some moisture that’s certainly lost with the heat.
